TWEO SKATEBOARDとはー
アーティストBernardini Emilianoのアートワークを
中心に展開するskateboardブランドです。
Bernardini Emilianoは、
ISSEY MIYAKEにてデザインの経験を積んだ譚 芸斯と慶 と共に2019年にメインブランド TWEO を始動。
そこからSKATEBOARDに特化した
TWEO SKATEBOARDのラインを開始。
ひとことで言えばMINIMALISTIC PUNK
（ミニマリスティック・パンク）
TWEOはスケートボード、そしてそのカルチャーと自由な空気感を心から愛しています。
とりわけ、「トリックをマスターするまで決してギブアップしない！」という精神に憧れています。
また、アートやカルチャー、音楽、環境、世界の政治状況などに関心を持っているクリエイティブな人たちと関わり続けることを大切にしています。
私たちの表現方法は至ってシンプルですー
従来のスケートボードブランドのようにインパクトのあるロゴやグラフィックには頼らず、手描きアートとスケートボードの組み合わせによって生まれる新しいニュアンスに着目しつつ、ユーモアを加味したデザインを目指しています。
そのため、アーティスティックなアプローチをブランドの基盤にしています。
アートこそ世界共通言語であり、人々を引きつけ結びつける力となり、
全ての人にとっての心の拠りどころとなる、と信じています。
TWEOでは常に新しいアートが生み出されており、それらを皆さまにお届けできることを楽しみにしています。近年アパレル業界では、大量生産による環境破壊や労働条件の不透明性など、多くの課題を抱えています。私たちはクオリティーやデザイン性の高いものを作ると同時に、これらの課題に責任を持って立ち向かい、公正な賃金の支払いやエコで持続可能なものづくりに努めます。
従ってTWEOプロダクトは、
1. 大量生産をしません。ボードはアメリカで、その他の製品は全て日本国内で生産しています。
2. それぞれのデザインの各色１０点ずつの生産です。
3. 常に新しいアート作品を使用し、同じアートを使い続けることはありません。（TWEOを代表する「Cave Man T」のみ定番デザインとして、定期生産しています。プリントは手作業のため、二つとして同じのものはございません。）
4. スケートボードは、各シーズン６０枚のみの生産となっております。
What is TWEO skateboard?
The short answer - we are MINIMALISTIC PUNK.
We have a pure passion for skateboarding, its culture and freedom.
Most importantly, its never-give-up-until-the-trick-is-closed kind of spirit.
We value working with small groups of people and engaging with those who are curious about art, culture, music, the environment, and current political issues around the globe.
Our way of expression is very simple -
Instead of using bold logos or graphics like many traditional skateboard brands, we focus on creating more nuance and sensitivity by combining handmade art and skateboarding.
We like to add a sense of humor, too.
At TWEO skateboard, an artistic approach is the base of our brand.
We believe art is a universal language that engages and unites people, and also a home, for every heart.
Here at TWEO, we are constantly creating new art all the time and want to keep showing them to you. However, as a brand, we are aware and concerned with the environmental damage caused by the apparel industry through overproduction and lack of transparency in labor conditions. We want you to know, we work to hold ourselves accountable for these issues, providing fair wages while creating products that are beautiful, exciting, and of good quality.
So, this leads us here:
1. We don’t do mass production. We use local factories to produce all products. Decks are made in the US, and the rest is all made in Japan.
2. Only 10 pieces per color way is produced for each art.
3. The artwork always changes. We don’t repeat a design except for the standard “cave man T”, our signature piece. Even then, each piece is unique as it is printed by hand!
4. We only produce 60 decks per season.
Good quality, small quantities.
As an independent brand, we are here for you to provide products that are responsible and celebrate the spirit of skateboarding, and a love for ART.
